A new Colnago for Ferrai bicycle has been created in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the prestigious Italian car manufacturer, Ferrari.
The 60th Anniversary Limited Edition sports the classic Ferrari red livery and famous prancing horse badge. Even the carbon fibre saddle has a unique Ferrari design.
Almost every part of the bicycle, including the frame, forks, wheels, saddle, seatpost, cranks and handlebars is made from carbon fibre. This results in an extremely light, stiff and comfortable racing bicycle. With a professional rider aboard, it could be entered into the Tour de France starting line.
The production of the 60th Anniversary model will run alongside the existing CF4 and will be strictly limited to 60 pieces.
The first of these will be displayed in Harrods of Knightsbridge from the 1st of July, the week the Pro-Tour teams come to Britain for the Tour de France London Grand Depart.
Today carbon fibre bicycles are favoured by almost all pro teams due to the materials' lightweight, strength and absorption of road vibration.
The 60th Anniversary Limited Edition celebrates the friendship between the houses of Ernesto Colnago and the late Enzo Ferrari. Their collaboration and foresight gave birth to the age of the carbon fibre bicycle.
Both bicycles are fitted with full Campagnolo Record groupsets. The 60th Light is equipped with lightweight carbon wheels and the 60th features Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels.
