Windwave to sponsor Pendragon Sports/ Le Col /Colnago team for the 2010 season

South West-based professional cycling team Pendragon Sports / Le Col / Colnago have signed two new sponsors for the 2010 British road season. The team are targeting the Premier Calendar, Nocturne Series, National Circuit series and the Tour Series (pending invite) along with a mix of international and regional races.

Title sponsorship continues from 2009 with cycling event and holiday organisers Pendragon Sports but this year they are joined by two new names. Exclusive clothing brand Le Col enters team sponsorship for the first time, while bike supplier Colnago needs no introduction.

The decision to continue sponsorship and grow the team was easy for Pendragon Sports. “We are very excited about the team and we aim to continue developing the squad to UCI continental level so we will be capable of competing in the Tour of Britain within two years.” says Pendragon Sports owner and team principle Nick Bourne. “Support of the team fits in well with our company focus on cycling development within schools in the South West and activities which include cyclosportives and cycle tourism.”

Windwave are not only backing the team with Colnago framesets, but also FSA components and Vision wheels. “This is our first time backing a full Premier Calendar team and we believe Pendragon Sports / Le Col / Colnago is perfect for us.” Says Peter Nisbet, Windwave MD “Not only does this showcase 2010 products like the Vision wheels, the development side of the team is also important to us. Coaching and developing the next generation of riders and generally getting more people on bikes are something we fully endorse.”
