Recently, Windwave’s Managing Director Peter Nisbet attended the 2005 Marzocchi Press Launch at the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, British Columbia.
The event corresponded with the Grand Opening of the Garbanzo Expansion. The area is the worlds premier lift accessed site with endless riding opportunities. The expansion has added another 2200 vertical feet to the area now making an awe inspiring total of 3400 prime vertical feet. Access is via three high speed chair lifts and there are a variety of hand built and machine made technical single track trails. |
| There were plenty of bikes available from Kona, Rocky Mountain and Norco bikes, all fitted with the new 2005 Marzocchi forks for the worlds’ enthusiastic journalists to try. Top Marzocchi sponsored riders were also on hand to show what the forks really could do when pushed to the limits. There was of course plenty of Marzocchi’s famous “après bike” activities after riding and a few tales to tell. |
| The UK was represented by journalists from MBUK, MBR and Dirt magazine who all raved about the latest offerings. |

Our own MD came face to face with a Cinnamon bear whilst coming down a ladder in a wooded section. With nowhere to go the bear fortunately backed off saving Marzocchi from having to find a new UK distributor! For a sneak preview of the 2005 forks see the link below. |
