Transition Regulator SX Carbon MTB Deore Complete Ebike

Regulators, Mount Up!

The all-mountain steed is here to deliver fun on every trail.

The Regulator SX is our all-mountain eMTB designed to provide a nimble and responsive ride. No trail is too tame or too gnarly for the dedicated mixed-wheel platform with 150 mm rear and 160 mm front travel and geometry that promotes agility and playfulness. The Regulator SX will be the choice for riders looking for a chassis that excels in a variety of terrain with the added assistance of a Bosch SX drive unit delivering 55 Nm of torque from a 400 Wh battery. Coupled with our SBG geometry, you have an eMTB experience close to that of non-assisted bikes. This combination provides the best range-to-weight ratio for those who value lighter ride characteristics, giving you the best of both worlds with one of the most reliable and intuitive motor systems available on the market. For those looking for extra range, the Bosch range extender will take you up to 650 Wh for all day adventures.

150/160 mm; Mixed Wheels

The dedicated mixed-wheel platform with 150 mm rear and 160 mm front travel make the Regulator SX nimble and responsive, blurring the lines between our powered and non-powered bikes with complete builds starting at just over 41 lbs. With a 64.5° headtube angle and short, 27.5" wheel specific chainstays, we were able to make the Regulator one of the most manoeuvrable eMTBs we've ever ridden. This keeps the ride fun and engaging on everything from smooth flow trails to steep tech.

High Power to Weight

The Bosch SX system delivers the highest power-to-weight ratio possible. Perfect for riders who want the lightest ride characteristic from their eMTB and have it excel in a wide variety of terrain, from smooth singletrack to rocks and roots. The Bosch SX system is one of the lightest on the market, while still providing a high peak power of 600 W. Complete builds come in at just over 41 lbs, giving you a ride feel nearly matched to that of our non-powered bikes.

Integrated Chain Guide

Designed in-house, our pre-installed chainguide ensures you never miss a pedal stroke.

Speed Balanced Geometry

SBG ensures the bike maintains low speed agility, front wheel traction, and proper rider weight balance while actually increasing confidence in steep terrain and at high speeds. With SBG, a slacker head tube angle is combined with a reduced offset fork standard, preventing the front wheel from being too far in front of the rider. This improves front to rear weight distribution on the bike, which is often out of balance on long and slack bikes. One of SBG's greatest benefits is that it creates a confident steering feel that adapts to wheel speed. More stability when going fast, more agility on technical slow speed manoeuvring as well as improved traction, control and confidence for any skill level of rider.

GiddyUp Suspension Design

We want to make it as easy as possible to experience great rear suspension performance. The GiddyUp suspension system is designed to behave intuitively across a broad range of setup. Because, we get it, sometimes you just want to grab your bike and GiddyUp, without checking your setup.

We did this by balancing a 27% progressive leverage curve with a consistent rate of change. Anti-squat is tuned to enhance pedalling performance and acceleration. Overall chain growth is moderate and reduces after sag so the chain tension doesn't get in the way of the suspension working.

This translates to supple small bump compliance and great mid-stroke support that gradually transitions into a subtle, yet supportive end-of-stroke ramp. The amount of consistent progression is carefully optimized for both air and coil shocks. Riders are able to add or remove volume spacers in air shocks to suit their individual riding style. The Regulator has 150 mm of rear wheel travel when used with the supplied 205 × 60 mm stroke shock. It is also possible to install a longer stroke shock of 205 x 65 mm to increase the rear wheel travel to 160 mm.

A wide usable sag range of 27 - 33% allows the rider to tune the feel of the bike; from poppy and playful, to planted for ploughing. Wherever you end up, you can focus on the trail without remotes, levers or knobs. Just grab your bike and GiddyUp.

"After a month of living with and riding the Regulator SX, I can proudly say that my opinion of electric mountain bikes has changed for the better. With the smaller 400 Wh battery and compact, lightweight SX motor, it barely looks or feels like an eMTB. This disguise even encouraged me to pedal it without assistance for a few 20+ mile rides, and I won't hesitate to do it again." - Deven McCoy @ Bike
"The Regulator, in SX or CX trim, is an exceptionally fun and versatile ripper that rides less like an e-bike and more like a traditional mountain bike." - Shawn Spomer @ Vital MTB
"Both versions prioritize handling and playful, natural ride quality over pure plough-and-smash capability. That said, these bikes are still very capable—you could take them just about anywhere and have a good time." - Conor Barry @ Bikers Edge
