Transition Spur Carbon MTB Complete Bike Eagle 70

The Singletrack Enthusiast

The Spur is our cross-country bike that refuses to be confined by labels. Now featuring 120 mm rear and 130 mm front travel paired with our famously progressive geometry, it blurs the lines of traditional XC. It's fast enough to race, tough enough for downcountry, and versatile enough to pull trail duty after hours. The Spur's broad range doesn't compromise performance in the category, it delivers across the board, making it the perfect ride for true singletrack enthusiasts

The Bike For Race Day And Every Other Day

Lightweight, razor-sharp, and unapologetically fast, the Spur is drawing XC athletes and performance-driven riders away from their old stiff XC bike and toward something far more capable. It delivers the precision and control to charge climbs, shred descents, and thread technical lines with confidence, redefining what an XC bike can do. On trail, it's pure Transition: lively, playful, and eager to rail corners, boost every bump or root, and turn every feature into an opportunity for fun. It's this high-energy personality that resonates with riders who aren't interested in following the traditional XC mold, they're here to forge their own line.

More Travel, No Compromise. 120 mm Rear 130 mm Front

The Spur now features 130 mm of front travel, optimized around the latest Fox 34 Float SL, a fork that delivers increased capability without adding weight. This upgrade reflects the evolving demands of modern XC, where courses are becoming more technical and terrain more aggressive. We anticipate this longer travel configuration becoming the new standard in the category. For everyday riders, the added front-end support expands the Spur's trail versatility, offering greater confidence and control on descents without compromising efficiency on the climbs.

The Magic of the Spur

When developing the original Spur, we chose a flex stay design to achieve the feel we were after. The rear end delivered a lively, responsive feel, with just the right amount of flex to enhance traction and control. The highly progressive leverage curve provides an exceptionally supple initial stroke and a surprisingly deep, controlled feel throughout the travel. This performance stood out from most bikes in the 120 mm category. For the new Spur, we've refined the design, but stayed true to what made the original so special, ensuring that the same responsive, bottomless feel remains at the heart of the bike while adding some stiffness to increase speed and snappiness.

Features

The Spur keeps its feather-light speed but adds a host of key features designed to make every ride more efficient, fast, and ridiculously fun.

C.H.I.P.S.

(Changes Height Independently from Progression Setting): Fine tune your geo with these simple and robust C.H.I.P.S. to adjust your headtube angle by .5 degree and BB height by 7 mm.

B.O.O.M. Box

Internal frame storage to hold your burrito, or other munchies. Two supplied bags help store all the essentials for any ride.

Internal Cable Routing

Fully guided tubes and clean headtube cable ports make internal routing easy and keep things quiet.

Size Specific Chainstays

To ensure balance at every size, the Spur has a 435 mm chainstay for SM/MD, and 440 mm for L/XL.

Loam Hat

Built in protection keeps dirt and debris away from your main pivot, extending bearing life and reducing maintenance.

Hidden Linkage Hardware

The seatstay to rocker junction now has hidden hardware, further increasing the clean top-tube to seatstay frame line, while also removing an area for debris to collect. Easy access from the inside now has deeper tool insertion to reduce stripping and rounding of the hardware.
